How long have you been working for Landmark Title?
Vicki Etherton, Chris Maddox and I actually started working together at another company in 2002. We started the commercial division of Magnus Title in 2005 after spending 8 months working on the vision.
What do you think sets you apart from others in the industry?
My ability to identify any key components, individual brokers, developers, and commercial real estate companies. I monitor their growth and success and have been successful in aligning myself with like-minded, focused people of integrity and determination. I strive to be goal-oriented and focus on a persistent attention to results.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I strongly believe in who we are, what we have built and where we are going.
How do you like to unwind after a long day at work?
Fresh air, reading, sharing time with friends, golf, pickleball, hiking. Also watching football, tennis, basketball and biking.
What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I enjoy handcrafts like crochet and knitting. I also enjoy taking part in political observations and discussions as well as volunteer work.
What motivates you to come to work every day?
I believe in what we have built and in the people that we work with. Vicki Etherton has it all, and we purposefully recruited Kristi and Derek, followed by the rest of our exceptional team. Our team has the highest integrity, the purest mission-focused motives; each with a reputation justly earned. It is why I am a part of our ongoing Landmark Title mission.
What advice would you give to someone just starting in your position?
Work hard, play hard. Listen well, ask questions and find a good mentor. Taking good care of yourself leads to caring well for others.
What are your future career aspirations?
My tenure in the world of commercial title and escrow continues to be predicated on the distinguished personnel involved at Landmark Title.
At Landmark Title, we know how fortunate we are to have a team that consistently goes above and beyond for our clients. Such a dedicated team is the direct result of our management and the culture we have created. In 2023, Landmark Title was named one of the “Best Places to Work” by Phoenix Business Journal.
